I’m Social Affairs Correspondent at The Independent, where I write investigations, features and news reports.
I cover social issues, including politics, law and social justice.
I’ve previously written for The Guardian, The Telegraph, The New Statesman and The Spectator, as well as appearing as a commentator and presenter for BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio Ulster, Sky News and RTE.
I trained as a journalist at City University London (2014-2015) and have also previously read BA English at Magdalen College Oxford (2011-2014) and MPhil Gender Studies at Newnham College Cambridge (2015-2016).
Prior to becoming a journalist, I worked for the House of Commons as a parliamentary assistant to a Belfast constituency, during the coalition government. I am particularly interested in Northern Irish politics and often report from Belfast during Northern Irish elections and power-sharing talks.
